Trigger Timing

When a user is about to build a landing page, MVP, SaaS, internal tool, agent workflow, or major feature and needs to check demand, positioning, monetization, retention, trust, distribution, and adoption risk before coding.

Working Mechanism

Review the idea across 7 risk dimensions (demand, positioning, monetization, retention, trust, distribution, feature adoption)
Use references/risk-checklist.md for deeper questions when verdict is unclear
Output a structured pre-mortem: risk verdict, main assumption, evidence to find, do-next, delay

Result

A short decision-oriented risk review that surfaces the highest-risk assumption, smallest validation step, and build scope to delay — helping founders and PMs avoid wasted effort.

Scenario 01

Founder validates SaaS demand pre-build

A solo founder wants to build a SaaS for freelance designers. Before writing code, they invoke this skill. It reveals weak evidence of urgent demand and unclear positioning. The skill outputs a high-risk verdict, names the main assumption (designers will pay monthly), and suggests interviewing 5 designers as the smallest validation step while delaying the billing system build.

Scenario 02

PM checks feature adoption risk early

A product manager plans a major feature for an internal tool. Using this skill, they check adoption and trust risks. The review shows users may resist a required behavior change. The skill recommends a reduced build scope (flag-gated rollout) and names missing evidence about current workflow pain, preventing a costly full build.
