Trigger

Triggered when users request "create architecture diagram", "visualize Azure resources", "show resource relationships", or "analyze resource group".

Mechanism

Four-step process: select resource group → resource discovery and analysis → diagram construction → file creation.
Uses Azure Resource Graph for cross-subscription bulk resource discovery.
Analyzes relationships: network connections, data flows, identity relationships, config associations, parent-child dependencies.
Generates layer-grouped Mermaid diagrams (graph TB or graph LR) with node details (SKU/tier etc.).
Strict constraints: read-only, placeholders for secrets, all resources included.

Outcome

Complete Markdown file ([rg-name]-architecture.md) with resource summary, inventory table, Mermaid diagram, relationship descriptions, and recommendations.

Scenario 01

Azure Infrastructure Architecture Visualization

Architects need to quickly understand resource group architecture and relationships. The skill automatically discovers all resources, analyzes network connections, data flows, identity relationships, and dependencies, organizes by logical layers, and generates detailed Mermaid architecture diagrams. Helps teams understand and document existing architectures.

Scenario 02

Multi-Layer Diagram Generation for Complex Architectures

For large resource groups with 50+ resources, the skill creates multiple diagrams by layer for clarity. Provides detailed resource inventory tables (name, type, SKU, location), labels key configuration info (VNet address space, subnet ranges, SKU/tier), and includes important settings in node labels. All secret values replaced with placeholders.
