Mechanism
Breaks down how the skill works and what it produces, so you can quickly judge whether it fits your scenario and value.
When the README and repository files leave a narrow reproduction-critical gap (e.g., dataset split, preprocessing, evaluation protocol) and a concrete question exists during README-first deep learning repo reproduction.
references/paper-assisted-reproduction.md to locate primary paper sources.A narrowed source list and targeted answer that supplements the main reproduction flow with explicit conflict notes, without replacing README guidance.
Use Cases
A researcher follows the README to reproduce a model but finds the evaluation protocol ambiguous. They invoke paper-context-resolver with the repo metadata and specific question. The skill checks the primary paper, returns the exact protocol and notes any README-paper conflict, letting the team reproduce correctly without guessing.
During reproduction, the checkpoint mapping in README is missing. The orchestrator invokes paper-context-resolver with known paper links. The skill extracts the mapping from the paper, records conflicts, and provides direct evidence vs inference, enabling safe environment setup and trusted inference runs.
